Kelly Leithner is the founder and President of Advent Business Solutions. Advent is a management consulting and marketing firm that specializes in developing customized business solutions to help clients and companies increase revenues and profitability.  Advents service offering includes Management Consulting, Marketing, Online Marketing and Lead Generation. Kelly is responsible for business consulting, including board advisement, operations improvement, strategy development and implementation, marketing, and new product development (NPD). 


Kelly is a dynamic President with a highly successful track record of achieving profitability and growth in LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing environments; and was responsible for running Buehler Consumables  and Specialty Product Business as General Manager from 2007-2011, a division of Illinois Tool Works (ITW).  Kelly additionally has over fourteen years of global marketing expertise; and, in a prior role served as Vice President Worldwide Marketing at Buehler, a Lake Bluff Illinois division of ITW, and formerly Emerson Electric. Buehler is a world leading company specializing in laboratory test equipment and consumables for quality assurance and control purposes.

 

Kelly’s proven ability is in aligning and growing businesses by improving customer satisfaction, operations, profitability, asset management, and by capturing new and emerging market business. Kelly’s experience includes strategic planning, branding, communications, online marketing initiatives, and customer-focused, innovative, new product development. As a change leader, Kelly has an open communication style and provides catalytic team leadership that empowers the organization.  Kelly was also an instrumental leader in the divestiture of Buehler from Emerson to ITW.  Critical to cost containment, Kelly has significant contract negotiation, international supplier management, and product sourcing experience in North America, Europe and Asia. 

 

Graduating from the University of Tennessee Kelly has a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Kelly also is a Six Sigma Green Belt from the Chicago Deming Association-Six Sigma Masters Program and has a Lean Management Certification.

  

As a member of the Affiliate Mastermind Advisory Board, Kelly provides board advisement and consulting services for local businesses that are currently without a board and require strategic development. Kelly serves on the board of Lemon Street Gallery, a nonprofit community arts center in Kenosha Wisconsin.  Additional charitable organizations that Kelly supports and participates in include United Way, Taproot, and World Vision.
